—------- A STUDY ON GULZAR'S " TOBA TEK SINGH " —------- WITH FULL ANALYSIS The Details of The Poem : Gulzar , besides being a writer and a poet , is a veteran filmmaker as well as a lyricist . Among many of his writings , Toba Tek Singh is a poem which refers to the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947 . From the keenest observation , it is found that the poem comprises two major sections found according to the subject matter of this poem : the first one presents a preliminary sketch of Bishan Singh , and the rest contains the main idea of the poet . First of all , it has to be mentioned that the poem Toba Tek Singh is , to a great extent , Gulzar's first emotional response to Sadat Hossain Manto's Toba Tek Singh . In the introductory part of the poem , we find that the poet feels a need or must to meet Bishan Singh at Wagha border where Manto has terminated his story, to tell him that , as an impact of the partition , the horrific ongoing events still con...

How far is it true that the story "A Leaf In The Storm" shows the freedom for all citizens of India ?  Ans. : " A Leaf In The Storm " by Lalithambika Antharjanam blurts out unsympathetic as well as reckless persecution of women in particular during the aftermath of partition . Though India and Pakistan won freedom in all respects, the wretchedness  became more and more intensive . As for example from the text , Jyoti , for being a Sikh , had to meet several agonies such as displacement , abduction , molestation , rape , etc . Likewise , there were so many people like Jyoti , and all of them underwent physical and mental torture and violence , which was not only very severe but also very intolerable . Actually , after the official partition , the people of both countries debuted in the game of assassinating people . It was the most awful as well as the nastiest time of the people of their respective countries . This tremendous chaos of mass was not mitigated , and r...

FEMINISM IN "THE QUILT" OF ISMAT CHUGHTAI             As a definition , it is generally said that "Feminism" is a theory which supports social , political , educational and equal economic rights and opportunities for women . The word "Feminism" originates from French word "Feminisme" , a medical term . One who follows the theory of Feminism is called Feminist . This idea was first issued from the Enlightenment period of 18th century . The ideology was recognised by some pioneers like Mary Wollstonecraft and  John Stuart Mill . Feminism incorporates the idea of prioritising equality for both male and female similarly . Moreover , it is a movement demanding the same human rights for women as men in the society .   Describe The Character Of Julius Caesar. || Character Of Julius Caesar in Shakespeare's 'Julius Caesar' . Ans. 👇👇👇👇👇 Julius Caesar is a historical character in the play ‘Julius Caesar’. But Shakespeare never considers so. Rather, he said that Caesar in his play is weak and infirm, and it is not any traditional character. Caesar is a hero of Rome. He wins over the military power. Brutus says, “ ..the foremost man of the all this world.’’ In the beginning scene, Caesar is introduced as a great warrior whom Shakespeare shows as the darling of the common people. Antony refers to the dead body of Caesar as “the ruins of the noblest man that ever lived in the tide of times”. Cassius talks of Caesar as “ a Colossus the bestride the narrow worlds”.              Although Caesar is a man born to rule, an intellectual strength, he has a good many deficiencies of his character....

(ii) Briefly comment on the finishing or end of the story " Toba Tek Singh " by Manto . Or, What is the story of Bishan Singh ? Or, How does Bishan Singh react at last ? Ans. : Sadat Hasan Manto's "Toba Tek Singh" is a work of great excellence mainly based on Partition literature . The end of the story is , in the full sense of the term , pitiful , heart-rending and partly tragic also . Talking about the text , when the date of the exchange of the inmates of lunatic asylum came as a result of the 1947 India-Pakistan partition , Bishan Singh , the main character in the story , became more confused with the actual placement of his hometown Toba Tek Singh - in India or in Pakistan . Eventually , he learned from an officer that his hometown fell in Pakistan . Because of being a Sikh , he was called to register in India , but he didn't budge a little . He became frustrated along with being more stubborn . So , he was kept uncare at Wagah border alone . With th...
