" I've to go and meet …………… ……….. luggage on the way behind ". - Elucidate it . Toba Tek Singh " , Gulzar
(v) " I've to go and meet ……………
……….. luggage on the way behind ". - Elucidate it .
Ans. : In this fourth stanza emanated from " Toba Tek Singh " , Gulzar again says he has to " go and meet Bishan Singh at Wagah border " at any rate . He further adds that it is also very important to inform Bishan's friend Afzal about the cruel torture and deaths of his near and dear ones namely Lahna Singh , Wadhwa Singh and Bheen Amrit . When partition was officially announced , all of them , seeking a chance and breaking the barriers of adversities , managed to escape from Pakistan somehow , but in the end they were both brutally and savagely butchered , looted on the way back . They had none to salvage , to rescue them from the red hand of death . Actually to say , this section of the poem depicts not just the inhuman as well as intolerable treatment occurring during the partition days , but also the ruthless side of some bully-people .
